The Way of the Gun (2000):
Rebecca thought: * * 1/2 out of * * * *. Two dudes kidnap a pregnant surrogate mother and hold her/her baby for ransom. Naturally, the plan goes hideously wrong (what plan doesn't?). Amusing movie with at least one hilarious scene (car in alley, sooo funny!), and a nasty scene with broken glass that'll stay with you. Good for mindless entertainment. When you consider the fact that it was written by the same guy who wrote The Usual Suspects it's fairly disappointing.
Nils thought: 6 of 10. Nothing to add to the plot except that there were A LOT of guns and they were used to maximum destructive power. *grin* The sniper scene was fun and it had an excellent use of the word "peeka-boo". I would put it one step abouve mindless entertainment, the story wasn't all that awful and the characters had some conflict within themsleves so it wasn't just a shoot 'em up flick... but it was close.
